Women’s Welfare Officer

To become the Women’s Welfare Officer, you must consider yourself to be a female. Within this role you must represent the female students within college at all sites (Easton, Paston and Norfolk House), you must advocate the wishes, views and demands of female students and share these with the Students’ Union and College. To ensure you are providing a wide variety of support you should promote local groups and organisations which work on women’s welfare issues. To widen your knowledge make yourself aware of women’s rights and NUS Women’s right campaigns, it would be great if you became an active member in these campaigns and event opportunities. To increase engagement and involvement at college it would be beneficial to help organize groups, e.g. single mums’ group.
